Soaking & sprouting are amazingly simple ways to bump up the nutritional value of nuts and seeds. Not only are they easier to digest, but the health benefits are immense.
Sprouted almonds are significantly higher in Vitamins B and C and are also much more alkaline which helps neutralize your pH and fight off disease. Get sprouting!!
Sprouted Almond Milk
1 cup organic raw almonds
Soak almonds in a glass jar with 4 cups of water overnight.
Drain the almonds and rinse with cold water. Place almonds into Vitamix or high-speed blender with 3 cups water and blend until smooth.
Feel free to strain out the grits with a nut milk bag or cheese cloth, or keep as is if you don’t mind a bit of texture. I add it to smoothies so I don’t bother with straining.
Will keep in a sealed container for about a week in the fridge.
